Carnival Australia are excited to announce: We are hiring a PR & Team Coordinator for our Carnival Cruise Line brand on a full-time permanent basis! Based in our office in Chatswood, Sydney, reporting to the Communications Director you will provide comprehensive administrative, public relations, and event support to the Carnival Cruise Line team, ensuring professional, efficient, and effective representation of the department. Responsibilities include helping coordinate and execute events, managing internal communications, and supporting daily administrative tasks. You will work closely with team members to plan events, liaise with external partners, and ensure clear and consistent communications. Additionally, you will maintain records, prepare reports, and contribute to the department's success through proactive problem-solving and attention to detail.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide general administrative support for the Carnival Cruise Line team.
  • Handle general office duties including archiving, filing, and managing the department's online filing system and complete monthly expense reports.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as collecting mail for the department, ordering business cards, stationery, and office supplies.
  • Arrange all domestic and international travel and accommodation for the CCL team and guests, ensuring adherence to the travel policy.
  • Organise the Vice President's schedule and diary.
  • Prepare and distribute written documents, correspondence, meeting minutes, and presentation materials as needed.
  • Assist the PR and Events team by acting as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, booking and managing event services as required.
  • Help coordinate media and press familiarisation trips, including attending and working at events when necessary.
  • Write and prepare employee communications, including articles for the staff intranet, for both ship and shoreside staff.

About You:

You will be highly organised, professional, and efficient, with strong administrative skills and experience in managing office duties and travel arrangements. You will have excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of preparing clear documents and correspondence. With proven event coordination experience, you will manage logistics, set up meeting facilities, and host guests. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You should be adaptable, able to handle changing priorities, and willing to attend and work at events sometimes out of business hours and when travel is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online systems is required. Overall, you will be a proactive team player who contributes to the success of the Carnival Cruise Line team.

To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated:

  • 2 years' experience in a PR or similar role or environment.
  • Administrative and PA experience is preferred.
  • Previous writing experience mandatory.
  • Proven track record in event coordination.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding both written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Willingness to attend and work at events, including media and press trips.
  • Experience arranging both domestic and international travel and accommodations.
  • Proven capability to organise and manage an Executive's schedule.
  • Ability to work outside of business hours and travel when required.
