Flexibility and Support
  • Nine Day Fortnight: Full time employees are given the opportunity to work their standard hours over a 9 day fortnight, which means you get an extra day each fortnight to sleep in, catch up on TV or get outside and enjoy the sun.
  • Paid Parental Leave: Employees who are eligible under Carnival Australia's paid parental leave have access to 12 weeks full pay or 24 weeks at half pay.
  • Discounted Health Insurance: Our corporate health plan provides team members with discounted health insurance through our partner Medibank.
  • Employee Assistance Program: We understand that life doesn't always go to plan, so if you or an immediate family member need confidential counselling support, you can access Carnival Australia's Employee Assistance Program.
  • Health Check-ups: All team members have access to flu vaccinations in the lead up to flu season, and other health checks as they are made available.
  • Carer's Leave: When a family member is ill, we provide the support you need by offering an additional 3 days of carers leave to our staff.

Peter Little – Interim President of Carnival Australia &

Senior Vice President for Guest Experience – P&O Australia

Peter started his career on cargo ships before making the transition to the cruise industry in 1991 and joined the executive team in 2008. As the Senior Vice President for GE, he had oversight of shipboard marine and technical functions for the P&O Cruise fleet (Shore and Ship). Prior to joining this role, Peter held the position of Fleet Technical Manager at sister company Carnival UK in Southampton, managing their Worldwide Fleet. Recently Peter has stepped into the role of Interim President of Carnival Australia and P&O Cruises Australia in August 2023.
