Carnival Australia are excited to announce: We are hiring a Brand & Retail Marketing Manager for our Carnival Cruise Line brand on a maternity leave 12 month maxed term contract! Based in our office in Chatswood, Sydney, reporting to the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, this role is responsible for leading the Marketing team on all Brand, Retail and promotional campaigns in the Australian market – ensuring the marketing team delivers sales and brand targets, via best-in-class, integrated campaigns, that stay true to Carnival's brand. The role includes communications strategy and planning, design, briefing and timely delivery of campaigns for the market – to drive awareness, consideration and sales among Australian consumers.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for forging strong professional relationships with Creative and Media agencies;Sponsorship execution; Project Management; and the development of print collateral.
  • Management of the Marketing Budget, including the Consumer Media and production budgets.
  • Delivery of strategy and brief for annual brand campaign across all offline and digital channels (including annual TV/VOD campaign).
  • Creation of the agency brief and appropriate budget allocation
  • Review of creative concepts and selection of concept that best delivers on brief
  • Develop the execution plan for campaign creation – including photo/video shoots and creation of all assets for roll-out across all marketing channels
  • Develop the strategy and communications plan for all consumer campaigns to drive awareness, consideration and sales in the Australian market.
  • Lead the strategy, creation and delivery of brand sponsorship opportunities
  • Managing and motivating direct reports – Marketing Associate and Social Media Executive

About You:

First and foremost, you are highly team-centric, lead from the front, and willing to support the team and others at any level to ensure the delivery of excellence and service at every turn. You have proven track record with an ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment whilst ensuring a strong output and accuracy. You're a result driven, engaged, and resilient individual that loves working within a dynamic environment. With extensive experience working across multiple campaigns, you are a confident communicator, and collaborator with a focus on driving performance using data and analytics. You will have strong relationship building skills, sound commercial acumen whilst maintaining a strategic lens to achieve commercial results. Solid retail experience, market knowledge and influencing skills with the ability to be agile and pivot with an entrepreneurial spirit will set you up for success. To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated:

  • 7 years Marketing Manager – Agency or media
  • 2 years' experience managing relationships with Agencies (both media and creative)
  • Experience managing media planning: high level of literacy evaluating and optimising media strategies and plans, creative judgement
  • Ability to think and act strategically with communications planning experience
  • Understanding and experience of all key marketing channels: direct, digital, ATL and development of collateral, trade marketing
  • Strong stakeholder management experience having worked cross functionally across a matrix-based organisation.
  • Project and time management skills with effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong insights of marketing financial management – budgets, accruals and forecasting experience
