We have a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Analyst (ETL and BI) to join our legendary IT team based in our office in Chatswood, Sydney. Reporting to the Data and Integration Development Manager, this role is responsible for supporting, building and maintaining ETL/Integration and Business Intelligence solutions to support Carnival Australia. This is a unique opportunity to join the IT department as a key member to build and maintain data integrations for the existing data warehouse and assist in transitioning and be upskilled in Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse technologies.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Contribute to the development and management of information architecture
• Understand and interpret business requirements from a technical point of view to deliver the required solution, as well as providing feedback where required.
• Assist with the development of solution alternatives through research and evaluation.
• Contribute to the evaluation of proposed options to support the development of business cases.
• Develop and implement of approved solutions, adhering to required development processes and standards
• Contribute to second and third level support of solutions including regular rostered 24/7 support.

About you:

You have exceptional project management skills and experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, coupled with strong technical knowledge and hands on experience.  You're a creative, result driven, engaged, and a resilient individual that loves working within a dynamic environment. Aside from your fantastic organisation and multi-tasking skills, you will have a strong work ethic and although you can work autonomously, it is in a team environment where you flourish. Agility with strong attention to detail, you are confident talking to and offering ideas and solutions. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment always taking initiative to support business and team objectives. As the function will grow into cloud technologies, your customer focused outlook and extensive communication skills will ensure your success in delivering solutions across all business functions and departments.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

• Minimum 7 years working in a professional IT role
• Minimum 5 years in a SQL and SQL Stack development role (mandatory)
• Experience in version/source control software (e.g. TFS/DevOps)
• Expertise in Data Warehousing modelling, design, implementation and best practices
• Experience in T-SQL and stored procedures, performance tuning, monitoring and design
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience for most of the following: Microsoft SQL 2008/2012/2016 and Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS).
• Strong understanding of project management and experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, UAT, Production and Post-production Support.
