We have a newly created opportunity for a Sales & Marketing Analyst to join our P&O team in our Chatswood, Sydney branch. Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, you will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify bookings through the development of reports, dashboards, and insights. Additionally, you'll be involved with supporting decision making around Travel Agent commission structures and the ways in which we engage with our trade partners. Your strong analytical and technical skills will help guide you through all aspects of the solution from extracting data from an enterprise data warehouse, analysing it, creating visualisations and recommendations. You will also generate forecast and prediction models to support key decisions.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Produce a suite of weekly and monthly reports which will support the P&O, Holland America Line and Seabourn Sales and Marketing teams
  • Design and develop dashboards and other self-service BI reporting solutions
  • Assist in prepare executive level presentations that summarise key insights.
  • Weekly data quality assurance checks and continuous data maintenance, always seeking ways to improve checks and eliminate errors.
  • Develop queries to pull data from the data warehouse to add new data sources to reports
  • Support the Sales team in developing and maintaining statistical and forecasting models
  • Continuous improvement approach to the reporting process, identifying ways to drive efficiency and ensure consistent accuracy and timely delivery of all reports.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Minimum 1-year experience working as a Sales and Marketing Analyst or a Graduate looking to kick start their career
  • Experience using relational databases such as SQL Server, OLAP Cubes and knowledge of data warehousing concepts is mandatory
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or similar application is mandatory – reporting tools
  • Experience in data modelling with advanced MS Suite experience specifically Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to clearly articulate data insights to the sales and marketing teams
