A great permanent full-time opportunity for a Senior System Engineer to join our amazing IT team based in Chatswood 2067! In your role, you will be responsible for understanding our organization's current server architecture, standards, future technology plans, and recommend emerging trends for both hardware and software infrastructure whilst delivering a professional level of service to the business, and maintaining productive and efficient relationships with the business stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluation, design and documentation of infrastructure alternatives to meet those needs.
  • Implementation of approved solutions including integration into the existing architecture and documentation.
  • Coordinating infrastructure testing, analysis and reporting as required for changes and project implementation.
  • On premise and cloud server infrastructure operational control and management.
  • Storage, backup and recovery management.
  • Maximise server, virtualisation performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting server issues, scheduling upgrades. 

About you:

You are a senior engineer who has worked in small to medium corporations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team resolving high level issues with strong proven experience with system upgrades, security remediations and IT project work. Outstanding design, implement and deliver technical solutions aptitude with the ability to communicate concepts to a broad range of stakeholders through superior written, report presentation and verbal communication skills. As part of a close-knit team, your outgoing personality and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the work done with the team will set you apart from your competitors.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience as a Senior system engineer in a large complex environment.
  • Ability to pivot across multiple projects with outstanding time management skills
  • Experience with Security remediation and PCI compliance
  • Ability for annual travel to Singapore for 2 weeks or when required
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Windows operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards with proven experience in IT Infrastructure planning and development.
    • Managing various aspects of Azure and Azure AD Infrastructure, covering all resource types and proper security of these assets.
    • Microsoft client products that tie into the cloud. Most notably online products for Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Teams.
    • Implementing and managing Microsoft O365 applications, including performing O365 migrations and management tasks across the products included in Microsoft E3 and E5 licensing.
    • Windows server 2012, 2016, 2019 and VMWare administration and deployment including VSphere.
