Known as the Destination Experts, Princess Cruises visits over 380 ports around the world. Locally, Princess Cruises has operated cruises for more than 15 years and has five ships departing from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle and Auckland. 


Internally known as the Market Planning Analyst and reporting to the Director of Market Planning, this broad role encompasses a balance between analytical and operational duties, and is responsible for supporting the Market Planning and Revenue Management teams in Asia Pacific.


The successful individual will create reports for relevant analysis, draw insights from market data, conduct pricing recommendations, maintain market models, and create/execute new pricing strategies for the brand.


Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strategic analysis and pricing recommendations for FIT inventory
  • Create, review and maintain suite of reports to track voyage bookings
  • Work closely with the SVP Princess Cruises Asia Pacific and the Market Planning Director to maintain annual yield targets
  • Keep abreast of the industry's marketing activities including pricing, itinerary and policy analysis, using these insights to support deployment and pricing recommendations
  • Ensure content accuracy of marketing collateral, including voyage information, terms and conditions, offer dynamics and pricing in a timely manner
  • Inventory and yield management of FIT inventory

  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar
  • 1-2 years' experience in an analytical role, preferably within a commercial function
  • Very strong numerical and analytical skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Superior planning, prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills, with some knowledge of relational databases or MS Access
  • An undoubted thirst for knowledge, coupled with a strategic mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent levels of initiative, who aren't afraid to ask questions
  • Strong levels of resilience, and a proven ability to work under pressure and multitask to deliver to deadlines
  • Flexible availability, as this role does contain fluctuating workloads at times
