Princess Cruises is the third largest cruise ship operator in the world and part of the world's leading cruise holiday company, Carnival Corporation (represented in the Asia Pacific region by Carnival Australia). Known as the Destination Experts, Princess Cruises visits more than 380 ports around the world. It's an exciting time to be joining Princess Cruises with two new ships being added to the fleet in the next 12 months. 

This newly created position will be responsible for strengthening Princess Cruises' market leadership with key online and wholesale account distribution partners across Australia & New Zealand. As the key account contact this role is responsible for business development and growth through planning, training and marketing support, to deliver our financial objectives. 

Responsibilities will be broad but include:

  • developing strong business relationships an annual business plans across all key accounts in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director to deliver on financial objectives
  • financial planning and reporting – including forecasting, providing commentary on results and overseeing override commission payments
  • representing Princess Cruises at high profile trade events and award ceremonies 

We're keen to hear from people with 5+ years' in business development and sales (with travel highly desirable) who bring both relationship management and analytical skills, along with super self-planning and time management skills (this role will have a lot of accounts to manage!). Our successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • strong business management and planning skills (financial acumen, marketing savvy, attention to detail)
  • influencing and negotiation skills; the ability to develop and deliver sales presentations that close the deal
  • great communication skills, including public speaking ability
  • really strong interpersonal and relationship management skills; proven ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners alike 

This position will require regular work outside of traditional office hours and travel (domestic, international and onboard).
