 Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, the Business Development Representative is a critical role within our Business Development Team. The BDR is responsible for providing effective support to our Business Development Managers with the aim of exceeding our revenue targets in the Australian market.

 

Specific responsibilities include: maintaining regular contact with travel agents; providing sales support for the Business Development Management team; preparing and on occasions delivering business presentations; attending trade shows and developing training events.

 

We seek applications from professional customer and sales focused individuals with exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, who demonstrate:

 

  • A combination of 2+ years' relationship sales experience and/or telephone sales centre experience, within the travel industry (preferred)
  • A thorough and in-depth knowledge of the Holland America Line and Seabourn portfolio of products
  • Success in a sales environment, with a proven track record in meeting /exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving
  • The self-confidence to make outbound sales calls
  • Strong customer focus
  • Polished communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent work ethic
  • An ability to relate to a wide range of key stakeholders
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • A selfless, ‘here to help' attitude
