Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, this part-time (30hours per week) contract role will support the reporting and analysis of Carnival Australia's commercial performance. You will be one of the department's data warehouse Super Users who will assist the team on continual report and process improvement for all commercial customers.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing a suite of time critical weekly booking reports and tools which support the Yield Management process of all Carnival Australia brands
  • Collate and distribute weekly summary reports to the senior management and executive teams in Australia and our overseas head offices
  • Weekly data quality assurance checks and continual data maintenance, always seeking ways to improve checks and eliminate errors
  • Working with the Planning teams to display latest itineraries and forecasting data within yield reports
  • Identify trends, draw correlations and provide recommendations for strategic decision making
  • Assist in developing executive level presentations that summarise key findings  
  • Work continuously with IT and the Business Intelligence Manager on developing the data warehouse to improve the reporting tools for the Commercial teams

 

We seek applications from tertiary qualified Excel enthusiasts with at least 2 years' work experience within a commercial function who demonstrate:

  • High numeracy and analytical ability
  • Strong relationship management expertise
  • Working experience in reporting positions, using relational databases, multi-dimensional cubes, SQL Server databases
  • Advanced SQL and MS Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an immaculate attention to detail
  • High self organisation, with the ability to multitask and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to use your initiative and think outside the box
