Carnival Cruise Line is "The World's Most Popular Cruise Line®" with over four and a half million guests travelling every year. Carnival is certainly well loved here in Australia, with us recently announcing Carnival Splendor will be joining the local fleet in the 2019 summer season.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, Carnival Cruise Line Australia, leading one direct report and working closely with the local marketing team, international digital team and several supporting agencies, this position is responsible for leading and driving the strategy for all Carnival Cruise Line digital properties in the ANZ region, with the ultimate goal of achieving digital sales targets.

The incumbent is responsible for managing local digital assets (website, booking engine, social), plus coordinating digital marketing campaigns for Carnival Cruise Line, including social media, digital traffic driving strategies, including search and retargeting, and monitoring and reporting from analytics data to optimise conversions. In addition to BAU activities, the incumbent will be the local lead and representative on all digital-related projects – including a significant migration project scheduled for 2018.

We seek applications from highly motivated people with 3+ years' experience in a digital production/marketing position who bring:

  • a high degree of technical expertise across (in order of importance): digital production, digital media and social
  • experience managing a CMS (Sitecore advantageous but not essential)
  • competence using performance management tools and analytics (preferably Adobe Omniture)
  • experience evaluating online media plans and optimising to meet objectives
  • exposure to financial and budget management and ensuring ROI
  • very strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work under the pump, not get stressed and multitask to deliver to deadlines
  • leadership potential, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders
